        ABOUT O'CONNELL & COMPANY PRODUCTIONS

O'Connell & Company was founded in 1995 by Buffalo award-winning actress Mary Kate O'Connell. The Company was in residence at its own theatre, the Cabaret in the Square
in Snyder, N.Y. until June 2008.   During that time, O'Connell & Company grew into one of WNY's most respected resident theatres. Performances have included: "Baby",
"Nunsense", "Closer Than Ever", "Passion", "We're Still Hot", "Wild Women Don't Get the Blues", "Musical of Musicals-The Musical", "Buffalo ZINGS", and the wonderfully popular
O'Connell & Company original, "DIVA by DIVA: A Celebration of Women!", WNY's longest-running production,  which enters its 13th year in March 2012.

On June 5, 2009, O'Connell & Company Productions announced an innovative arts partnership with Erie Community College, becoming the In-Residence theatre company at its North Campus
in Williamsville, NY. This partnership expanded performing arts opportunities for both the WNY community and the growing ECC community. In the Fall of 2009, O'Connell & Company opened its
inaugural season at ECC North, producing a full season of plays, musicals and special events and continued its weekly performances of "DIVA by DIVA: A Celebration of Women!" .
In March 2010, O'Connell & Company received its designation as a Not-for-Profit 501(c) (3) Organization.

O'Connell & Company is a proud member of The Theatre Alliance of Buffalo (TAB). The Theatre Alliance of Buffalo is a consortium of Western New York professional theatre companies dedicated to promoting the welfare of its member organizations and the appreciation of the art of theatre.

TAB was founded in September 2004 when sixteen professional producing theatres from Western New York came together in an unprecedented and groundbreaking partnership. Since its inception, TAB has grown to over 20 member theatre groups governed by by-laws and elected officers. Regular monthly meetings and various committees have resulted in a shared database of over 75,000 contacts, allowing for a multitude of cross marketing initiatives to take place. Additionally, TAB rolled out its own website in March 2009, bringing a "one-stop" approach to finding information and links to its member organizations.
