Mission Statement
O’Connell & Company Productions is a non-profit professional theatre organization dedicated to entertaining through educating, inspiring, and creating community with the performing arts. We celebrate the essential part of the theatre to illuminate our common humanity by presenting regional premieres, popular classics, musicals and plays with strong female characters and/or female playwrights, directors and works that center on the empowerment of women. We make these important choices to provide gender parity in the arts.

Founded in 1995 by award-winning actress Mary Kate O’Connell, past performances have included: an all-female production of 1776 The Musical, the regional premiere of The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein, Betsy Carmichael’s BINGO Palace, Little Shop of Horrors, Baby, Nunsense, I Do! I Do!, Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks, Musical of Musicals-The Musical, Buffalo ZINGS, Hot, Tedium & Wild!, and O’Connell & Company’s original, DIVA by DIVA: A Celebration of Women!, Western New York’s longest-running production currently in its 24th Season.
