Betsy Carmichael

The First Lady of BINGO

Betsy has dedicated her life to spreading the word of BINGO! From her humble beginnings, as the daughter of a BINGO caller in Buffalo, N.Y., Betsy has become an international BINGO icon bring her own unique style to the game. Betsy was entertainer for the USO with her show, Under the G and the I. She has held “BINGO for Peace” at 5 international summits and Presidents Johnson, Carter, Reagan and Clinton have awarded her the coveted “Medal of Patriotism” for her BINGO work throughout the United States. In the seventies Betsy had a residency in Las Vegas at the Sahara Hotel and made numerous television appearances on variety and game shows. Today she can be found touring the country with the award winning, Betsy Carmichael’s BINGO Palace. 


Joey Bucheker


Joey is a four time Artie nominee. Credits include Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding (Off-Bway Cast), Barnaby in Hello, Dolly! starring Carole Cooke, Mame with Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth, Rose in The Golden Girls – The Lost Episodes, Igor in Young Frankenstein, Emcee in Cabaret, God in An Act of God, Albert in It Shoulda Been You, Ivan in ART,  and Nurse Candida in Killer Rack for which he received a Broadway World Regional Award for Best Actor in a Musical. Joey is the creator and co-writer of the popular Betsy Carmichael BINGO series and holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Niagara University.


Mary Kate O'Connell


Mary Kate is thrilled to be on another Betsy BINGO adventure. Favorite shows include: 1776 (Benjamin Franklin), Memories & Martinis, Dear World (Countess Aurelia), It Should Been You (Georgette Howard) Lady with All the Answers (Ann Landers). Mary Kate is the founder and Executive/Artistic Director of O'Connell & Company, now in it's 27th Season. Mary Kate dedicates her work to her wonderful Mother & sister Patti - “your love and support continue to lift my heart & spirit.
